✨ Description

Uva Ursi, meaning “bear’s grape” in Latin, is a small evergreen shrub with glossy leaves and bright red berries loved by bears and healers alike. It has been used for centuries by Indigenous peoples and herbalists worldwide for cleansing the kidneys, bladder, and urinary system.

The leaf is the most medicinal part, rich in arbutin, a compound that converts to hydroquinone in the urinary tract, creating a mild antiseptic and antibacterial environment. This helps soothe and cleanse the bladder, reduce inflammation, and support recovery from infections.
