Sacred, aromatic, and uplifting, Hyssop has long been celebrated as a cleansing and protective herb — used in both ancient temple rituals and traditional herbal medicine. Its name comes from the Hebrew word ezob, meaning “holy herb,” symbolizing purification and renewal of the soul.
In herbal medicine, Hyssop is a trusted ally for the lungs, sinuses, and digestion, helping to clear phlegm, ease coughs, and strengthen the respiratory system. Its gentle antiseptic and expectorant actions also make it excellent for cleansing wounds, toning skin, and soothing sore throats.
Spiritually, Hyssop is a purifier — clearing away stagnation, negative energy, and emotional heaviness, bringing peace where there was burden.
As a cleansing, respiratory, and digestive tonic:
Directions (Internal Use):
Steep 1 teaspoon of Hyssop in 8 oz of hot water for 10–15 minutes.
Drink 1–2 cups daily for respiratory or digestive support.
Pairs well with Mullein, Thyme, or Peppermint for coughs and congestion.
Affirmation:
“I am cleansed and renewed — I breathe freely, and my spirit is light.”
Our Hyssop is organically cultivated and hand-harvested in early summer when its purple-blue blossoms are at full potency.
It is shade-dried to retain its color, essential oils, and aromatic sweetness — preserving both its medicinal and spiritual vitality.
Hyssop is breath made visible — a sacred cleanser of body and soul.
It teaches the art of release: to inhale clarity and exhale what no longer serves.
Drink it when you need lightness, calm, or a fresh start — it clears the air inside and out.
